I was born in the Bay Area. My wife and I moved our family to Belmont for the same reason so many of our neighbors did: the historic excellence of this district's public schools. We wanted a community anchored by top-tier education.
Now, with three kids right in the thick of the system - spanning the entire journey from a youngest in 1st grade to an oldest heading toward high school - I'm personally invested in where SUHSD is going for the next decade.
Why I'm Running
I care about our kids. Like many of you, we chose this community because of its schools - and strong schools are what make a strong community, not the other way around. Right now, this district is moving the wrong way: advanced classes eliminated, lawsuits and settlements, votes that ignore the community's clear feedback, and tax dollars going to rising administrative costs and cleaning up mistakes instead of educating our kids. I'm running to change that.

Fiscal Discipline and Transparency
SUHSD is running a $6.1 million structural deficit. I'll bring real budget accountability to how the district spends your tax dollars, so every dollar traces back to a real benefit for staff and students.
Prepare Students with a Future-Ready Curriculum
Bring real product and technology experience to modernizing our curriculum, AI included, so teachers and students have the training, tools, and policies to build real skills, not let technology do the thinking for them.

I'm bringing professional, executive oversight to this board: to listen to our parents and teachers, restore academic choice, keep up with the changes in our world and economy, and make sure our schools stay the best in the country - so we continue to have an amazing community.
